granules are fine and won’t cause skin damage.
When I was in Brazil with Nike for photo shoots, we used many brands of sugar scrubs, but my favorites were the ones that were natural. Here are a few recipes you can consider when making your own DIY sugar scrubs recipes for your face and body.

Raspberry Sugar Scrub
Brightens Skin, Corrects UV Damage, Great for Sensitive Skin, Exfoliates, Boosts Beauty, Anti-viral Properties, Tightens Skin, Rich in Antioxidants
Ingredients:
Up to 1 cup of sugar
1 cup fresh raspberries
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp lemon juice
3-5 drops of lavender oil
Blend raspberries in a blender until smooth. In a bowl mix blended raspberries, lemon juice, and extra virgin olive oil. Gradually add sugar until you get a paste. Add peppermint essential oil drop-by-drop until you get your desired fragrance. Rub it into your skin in a circular motion. Rinse. Refrigerate remaining scrub for up to 1 week.
Tip For a calming sugar scrub, replace the peppermint essential oil with lavender or rosemary oil.
Strawberry Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:
1 cup fresh strawberries
Up to 1 cup of granulated sugar
1/2 cup of coconut oil – lightly warm to liquefy it
5-10 drops of rosehip oil
Blend strawberries in a blender until smooth. In a bowl mix blended strawberries, and coconut oil. Gradually add sugar until you get a paste. Add rosehip essential oil drop-by-drop until you get your desired fragrance. Rub it into your skin in a circular motion. Rinse. Leftover scrub can be refrigerated for up to 1 week.
Manuka Honey Sugar Scrub

1/2 cup Manuka Honey
Up to 1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
