Fast Total Body Toning Tips

Victoria, I love the shape of your body and I need to train smarter I think. You have a sculpted body that is obvious influenced by your love of dancing and doing the right combination of exercises.
I find myself going to the gym and doing a lot of random exercises and not getting very good results. I want to get toned tight, but I don't want to just waste my time.
What do you suggest ?

Kiera, Thank you so much for the compliment. And yes, you are correct. My body reflects my passion for dance. When you want to have long lean dance lines regardless of your height or size, you have to train with exercises that will give you those desired results.
The one principle I teach my clients is to train the way you want to look. You have to make your moves functional and body specific. We don't have time to haphazardly train and get nothing for our time and effort.
Here is an example of what Janet Jackson did for her dancer's body when she need to drop sixty pounds for her new album release. She trains at an intense level and gets totally focused before she begins. She goes from exercise to exercise with great discipline and drive.
It worked fantastic for her. Give it a try when you go the gym this week.
Routine:
======
Legs
2X a week -reverse lunges, straight legged dead lifts and seated leg press Repetitions -I recommend 3 sets of 20 reps per exercise using weights that are comfortable to hold and give you moderate resistance.
Upper bodywork
2X a week - twice a week - 2 sets of 20 repetitions with light to moderate weight except pushups use your own body weight
Push-ups
Lat pull-downs
Chest flyes,
Biceps and Triceps supersets- working them back-to-back without restShoulders lateral raises
Abs - 3 X week - Variety of angles, crunches, reverse crunches, crossover crunches,working them for a total of ten minutes with little rest
Cardio
5-6 days of cardio for 45 minutes to an hour each session.
Kiera, that is a total body workout that can help you shape and tighten your muscles along with the cardio that burns the fat and releases stress.
You have to also watch your diet. Janet went off all sugar, white flour and simple carbohydrates; She followed a good glycemic diet and drank distilled water throughout the day too.

Bye-Bye Thunder Thighs!
"It is a miracle that I am standing before you wearing these skimpy red Nike shorts with out a hint of self-consciousness or shame. Two years ago I would have never dreamed of this day. Victoria:
I have read over your wake up call several times and realized that I too had a wake up call. I am a secretary employed at a hospital and they call codes that we have to respond to example code red = fire. On this particular day a code was called on the 4th floor of the hospital and of course you cannot take the elevator.
Now I work on the ground floor which meant I had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to the 4th floor, when I got to the 4th floor, I was breathing so hard, my heart was pounding, I was sweating, I couldn't even talk, I felt like lying on the floor, but I made my way to a chair and collapsed. I got a book and started fanning myself, and trying to catch my breath. With everyone asking "are you alright"? And I could only shake my head, "yes". I of course waited and took the elevator back to the ground floor. But later I begin to think about what the doctor told me on my last visit. "Heart disease runs in your family and you could stand to lose 20 or more pounds", when it came to weight I would always put 125lbs. but I weighed 158lbs.
After that incident I joined a health club, and started in the low impact aerobics classes Monday thru Thursday "faithfully". I noticed that I had more stamina and energy, and begun losing weight and my thighs did not rub together... joy, joy. From this, 2 years ago I started an aerobics class at my church 2 days a week, I had instructors come and teach the class, then I was encouraged to become an instructor which I will become certified in a few months.
We have gone from chair aerobics, to regular aerobics, to step aerobics, and to strength training. I have 2 other young ladies that work with me, and we all enjoy it so much. And my doctor is pleased with my weight, and so am I. I love your dvd's and use your instructions to teach my classes, I love the way you explain what you are doing and why. Thanks for all that you do, because you are an encouragement to me.
